Items are the physical products tracked in Ledger. An item might be a chair, rug, lamp, table, accessory, or any other real object the team needs to track.
Item Quick Drafts are photo-first captures that are not full items yet.
Items
Use a full item when you are ready to track the product in normal Ledger workflows.
Items can include:
- Name.
- Images.
- SKU.
- Vendor/source.
- Notes.
- Purchase price.
- Project price.
- Market value.
- Quantity.
- Status.
- Space.
- Transaction.
- Budget category.
Items can live in a project or in inventory.
Item Quick Drafts
Use an Item Quick Draft when you need to capture something quickly, usually from photos, before you know all the details.
Quick drafts are useful when:
- You are in the field taking photos.
- You do not have the item name or price yet.
- You want someone else to review and convert the draft later.
- You need to group photos before creating full items.
Quick drafts do not count as normal items until they are converted or merged.
Convert Or Merge
After review, a quick draft can usually be:
- Converted into a new item.
- Merged into an existing item.
- Deleted if it was captured by mistake.
Item Status
Statuses describe the item lifecycle:
- To Purchase.
- Purchased.
- To Return.
- Returned.
- Sold.
Statuses are not permanent. They can be corrected if the item was marked incorrectly.
